This is only the beginning 2

"Sundance"

"Gothique"

One of the great things about our age difference is that Amanda (22) is able to come up with some fascinating names for some of these colorways that and her stamina far exceeds mine. I love her imagination and she has a great way with the colors. My strength is the knitting but I will get her hooked soon. She is going to knit a pair of socks for her mother-in-law actually, that is how this all got started. What was amazing is that I gave her a book and she came back a day later with about 6 inches of knitting, then I gave her some sock yarn and dps and the next day she came back with 1in of ribbing and 2 inches of stockinette. It was sickening, it took me a week to get it cast on and then another to turn the heel. Well if I have my way this will be the gateway to some incredible knitting and colors. How lucky can I be! Branded

We had a great couple of days dyeing and skeining and re-skeining yarns. All of these are fingering wt. 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon and is incredibly soft. This one is a beautiful combination of blues and black we named it "Branded" it looks so different straight out of the pot versus after re-skeining. Hope you enjoy it.

Genesis

So here we are... after weeks of procrastinating, we are now the owners of a bouncing baby blog! And three skeins of yarn. And colored fingers. (Life tends to get messy.) We started this whole thing because boredom got the best of us. There's only so much sitting around I can handle. So we made socks -- baby socks. Because they were easier. And, if we screwed it up, we didn't waste a lot of yarn. It didn't take long for us to move on to bigger and better things. (Yes, bigger is better!) Unless it's a bigger mess. But even that can be fixed. Now all we need to do is get some opinions on how wonderful and original our yarns are. After all, I don't have the patience to knit all this. I'd rather do the dirty work. And, by tomorrow, we should have some awesome pictures.
