"Love you more then my Luggage"

I love that gray yarn!!!

Ok real quick I just got a Namasta Laguna Knitting Bag. This is a horrible picture of the bag but I really like the yarn and I really like my new bag. Thinking of doing it in Lace Wt. wouldn't it be awesome in Lace? Not sure where this yarn will end up yet. I do have 2 skeins up for grabs if anyone is interested. Not on Etsy yet, email me if you want it. stacy@temptedyarns.com

Ok I know I have talked about them before but had to tell you all again about how wonderful my knitting buddies are. Every Tuesday they drive 30 miles one way just to come see me and knit or dye or watch what ever it is I am up to. They are always helping me with my big orders. Dell on the Left is the beautiful handwriting on many of the Tempted labels (if its not pretty Its probably my handwriting). Kaye on the Right is responsible for putting labels on many of the skeins. Did I mention they work real real cheap.
We are all currently working on Wendy's Pagoda Lace Socks. We spent most of Tuesday on the toes and first round of the lace pattern. I have to say that I love it so far. Dell and Kaye are much better knitters then they believe that they are. It's so funny hanging out with them, they are a riot! We will all 3 be getting to go to the Loopy Ewe Spring Fling together. A 5 1/2 hour drive to St Louis and 3 days of knitting with a lot of other crazy fun knitters. I honestly can't wait, in fact already got the route all mapped out and am just saving my shopping money. If there are any other Spring Flingers out there leave a msg. I can't wait to get to know everyone.

I am so excited about the 2nd round of the Tempted Sock Club! I think there is some really good stuff planned. I don't know quite how to say this without just saying it, those of you who have trusted me for the last 6 months THANK YOU!! Those of you who are trusting me with the next 6 months THANK YOU TOO!!

Goodies and apparently I have no life.

I got these from the Loopy Ewe. I think they are so cute, and they are supposed to help me not loose my scissors anymore. lol
Aren't these great also from a Loopy Ewe shopping trip.
These are for my niece, if I ever get them in the mail to her. If I don't hurry she will outgrow them.

OK I had to join in this, apparently if you mark more then 83 you have no life. To me that is just stupid but I did get a kick out of seeing how many movies on the list I have seen. You are supposed to copy the list and mark the ones you have seen. I know this barely touches on all the movies I have seen.

If I counted right...164..that's nearly double. In my opinion it just shows I am in my latter 30's. lol I mean really many of these just show I was young in the 80's, have children and haven't gotten too old to go to the movies.

The return of some old Favs and a few new ones.

I have been busy this weekend doing a little work for Loops. This is actually a re-stock order of some of their exclusive colorways, they are some of the first colors Tempted ever had and I am still after all this time, very proud of them.

'Shock-Rocker'

'Toxic'

'Punk Junkie'

I said yesterday that I had done a little shopping and this is some of the other items I managed to snag. This is from Nikol of Art Club . My DD is a huge fan of the movie and I just know I got a winner with 'Night at the Roxbury'. Think I will spin it up for a pair of socks for her.

I also got this Calender, it is so original and if you think their is a little bit of Spitfire in you go check this out. It is also from Art Club.

I actually got a little knitting done and finished a few rounds on both the Glam sock and the arm sock. I will take more pictures soon.
Hope you are all having an awesome weekend.

Little shopping and actual knitting.

These are so beautiful in person, the picture does not do them justice. I did a little Etsy shopping a while back. I got these from LimaPopShop , and she has really got some wonderful markers. I have them on my 2 yr long lace project and on a pair of socks. They don't catch or snag and I highly recommend them.
This is one of my projects I am working on it is a an arm sock for my nephew. He lost the lower part of his arm a few years ago and sometimes the end of his arm gets cold so I have started knitting socks for him. This one is out of Cascade Fixation.
More knitting yeah me! This is a toe up sock I started along with my friends Kaye and Dell. We all started it last Tuesday. Wonder how much they have gotten done, bet it's more then I have. lol I am using Tempted Glam Grrl in the 'Tiffani' colorway, which now won't be a huge surprise for those of you in the Tempted Sock Club. It is the February yarn and should have gotten shipped out to you today. Enjoy, I am loving working with it. I am doing the Pagoda Lace Socks, from Wendy Knits.

Oh by the way I did get Glam Grrl entered on Ravelry so you can add it correctly. Let me just say how awesome the Ravelry Editors are. I completely messed up when I loaded Tempted on originally and the lovely editors fixed it all this last week. Thanks to all you Editors.

More shopping and if I get off here I might even get some more knitting done. lol

Sock Club #1 at an end

No pictures today because all the pictures I took where of February's sock club yarn. It mails off on Friday and I want there to still be one last surprise for the first round of the Tempted Sock Club. For those of you have participated I thank you very much for taking a chance on me, hope you have enjoyed your monthly little surprises as much as I have enjoyed making them. It has been a wonderful six months. I have gotten to get to know many of you and am so very grateful that opportunity. It never fails to amaze me how many wonderful knitters there are out in this great big world. I have received so much encouragement from so many of you. So once again let me thank you again.

Now I start preparing for the Tempted Sock Club #2, I have got some new and interesting colors in store for you all. If there is anyone out there who is interested in joining the second round, please email shelley@loopsknitting.com. I have to say that I haven't got the updated numbers so I think there are some more spots but you might want to hurry. I don't know how many more there are.

Thanks so much!!!

Sooooo tired!!!

This picture is not nearly as impressive as it should be. It doesn't look like there is as much there as it really is. I have been so busy dyeing and re-skeining for the last 3 weeks. Of course I did not photograph all that I have been doing (dyeing) as the February Sock Club yarn is not in this picture, because it is a secret.

I am so tired that all I want to do right now is to sit down, have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and knit, but I just can't as I am so close to finishing these orders. I am planning on casting on some socks later this week, however, and I really can't wait.

So much for Blogging everyday :(

Lots of pictures!
First, I think that Arwen thinks that she is a Rat Terrier. I can't tell you how unhappy I was to see her come back after she buried her face in a cow patty. Some of it was mud anyway.

This is after a trip to her groomer, can you tell she is still pissed that I took her. It always amazes me how she knows to hide when I turn onto the groomers street. It's not like she goes real frequently, about once every 3 months. She is a very smart dog. Wish she was smart enough to stay out of the cow patties.

My dear sweet hubby had to make a run down to Dallas on Wednesday night. Have I mentioned he is a modern day super hero? I have to brag a bit, I am very proud. He is a police detective and had to go interview a murder suspect. I have been around law enforcement my entire life, my dad is a cop and my sister is a state police chemist, so none of this is new, but for some reason every time an important case comes up I am still, after all these years proud of them all. I sometimes forget that the world doesn't revolve around yarn I guess. I just have to take a moment to say that I am blessed with many real life super-heroes.

While my hubby was away, my baby and I went to Knit-Night in Bartlesville. Zeta, (left) one of my knit night friends, is working on felted bowls and they look really cute. Nancy (right) has several projects going, (she is one of our local guru's, she can do anything).

On far left is Ginger, how I love Ginger, she is working on a sock in the round. Her last sock had a seam up the back. Ginger is one of the most fascinating women I think I have ever met. She has been all over the world and knows so many people, did I mention that I love Ginger. Middle is Kaye, sweet sweet Kaye, she is working on a simple scarf. Like me, she likes to talk at Knit Night and needs an easy project for visiting with everyone else. On far right is my dear Dell, again a women I love. She was working on a Baby Blanket and accusing Kaye of stealing her row counter...lol....it was found in Kaye's bag. Of course Dell did throw it across the table in a fit of laughter and it fell off the table into Kaye's bag. You should really hear these two go at each other, they are wonderful friends. They will be my buddies all the way to St Louis, for the Spring Fling , we ought to have a blast!

My baby is working on a latch hook rug for her Daddy, you know Father's Day is coming. She had her very own project for Knit Night, though she actually spent a lot more time on the phone. LOL

OK, now you can see why I haven't been blogging everyday. I have been working my b*** off, dyeing everyday this week. I am seriously AT the end of my deadlines and need to get everything out the door. There are probably about 50 skeins of yarn in this picture and that is only about 25% of what I have done. I finally received a special shipment of a new yarn I will be carrying in the coming months. I received a big order for it, which is due in just a few days, and I only got the yarn this last Wednesday, so you can imagine how antsy I was about it getting here in time. I think I will make it!

To those of you who have been in the Sock Club for the last 6 months, I want to send out a special Thank YOU!! I have had such a great time putting these colors together and am really looking forward to the next 6 months. If you would like to sign up for Round 2 of the Tempted Sock Club please contact Shelley at shelley@loopsknitting.com. By the way Loops has a lot of exclusive Tempted colorways that can't be found anywhere else on the web, if you are looking for something special take a look you might just find it there.

Volcanoes, pathetic puppy and new colors!

What do you think of our Vesuvius? Emily brought home a piece paper last week stating that "I" needed to build a volcano. At least that's the way I read it, she of course had to do the majority of the work ha ha ha. It needed to be creative and not look like she did in a hurry. I think we did a good job.
Doesn't she look pathetic. I told you she hates having her picture taken.
New colors what do ya think?

I have decided I work better at night, cause I am getting a ton of work done. I think I just enjoy the evening much more then morning. I am sure I have mentioned this before, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and well that just makes it really hard to get moving in the morning. I am really enjoying my evening. I am here with a glass of wine, cheese, with Sting singing to me and and dyeing up a bunch of yarn. Bob my DH is out tonight and Emily my DD is at and birthday sleep over so the whole place is mine. I can do whatever I want with no questions, no interruptions and I am just having a great night. I wouldn't want it all the time I do miss them but every once in a while it's great.
Hope you are having a great evening too!
xoxo Stacy

It's been a long time coming, but I introduce Arwen.

I know I should be ashamed that I am just now introducing my constant companion, Arwen. She is 5 yrs old and in desperate need of the hated trip to the groomers. I do have a good excuse, she is very camera shy and hates it when I take her picture. She is a Maltese and I have never been all that great about brushing her out everyday so her hair stays short. As I said before she is my constant companion, she is at my feet or at my shoulder always. She follows me everywhere and is just an amazing little buddy. Might sound a little weird that I say she is at my shoulder but it is true, she sits on the back of my chair right at my shoulder. When we go to the bus stop to get my DD she gets so excited and she rides all the way on my shoulders. I love her and she always shows me that she loves me too.
Starting over on the glove, looser gauge and the colors aren't changing quite like I want them to. I have another bobbin full of this yarn so there will be plenty for another pair or maybe two.
I made a very late resolution last night. I am going to try to blog at least every other day, but going to really try to do it every day. I said TRY.
Thanks for all the support out there don't know what I would do without it.
xoxo Stacy
